How Are Your Wheels Lining Up?

shutterstock_331630931In the world of car safety, wheel alignment plays an important role that can often go unnoticed! Wheel alignment ensures that your steering is accurate, giving you better control over your car’s direction and handling. A vehicle with wheel alignment problems will tend to pull to the side and cause your tires to have uneven tread wear.

Many things can influence your wheel alignment, and anything from your driving style to hitting a pothole or being involved in an accident can cause alignment issues. At the end of the day, proper wheel alignment is going to maximize your fuel economy, your tires’ life, your car’s overall performance, and your safety!

Some signs indicating that your wheel alignment may be off are:

1. You call feel your car pulling to the left or right when driving

2. Excessive or uneven tire wear

3. Your steering wheel doesn’t seem to be lining up properly when driving

4. You notice vibration in your steering wheel

It’s always a great idea to have your wheel alignment checked when you get new tires, or are switching to or from winter tires. Many cars are different, so be sure to check the manual to see what is the recommended amount of time to go between wheel alignment checks!
